A little of Where I am Now
As most of you should otherwise know, I am presently busy moving into my apartment, trying to hunt down a cheap work table now, actually. Its just such a pity that there is no IKEA in Milwaukee (theres no surprise about that) nor that they will deliver any bulky furniture over. Sigh.
So, for now, I thought I'd just post up a little pics of the common areas. My fav location, for now, is the fire place. To command fire at the flick of a switch...man.. thats POWER. Grins.
One nice feature here is the 'in-house' cinema. Full wall projection, HUGE bean bags and great company to mix with. Just a pity the nearby BlockBuster had to vacate for the stupid TKD club. Seesh.
And for people like Ed, Les and Daryl
the pool table together with the necessary cue and balls
offered WITHOT CHARGE would be a strong draw.
As I said from day one... DROP BY.
I bet Stinky is most happy to see the Gym. Its a pretty decent one, actually. Dont really know ..cause I've yet to start using it. Grins. I know I WILL excercise and I keep telling myself "today. toady. today" Never found the time with all the necessary admin stuff to see to... will, eventually. I promise.
And while I don't often use the elevators now-a-days given that I'm on the second floor plus the need for exercise, I find the 'old school' like feeling that the elevators give an interesting sensation. 
You'd notice the two huge boxes between the elevators- they are mail boxes. As you might notice in one of them, there is a black connecting tube attached. Well, that connects up from every floor and residents can drop their mail for pickup... or so that was the intention when they first built the building many decades back.
2040 Loft was originally a commercial building, occupied mainly by medical suites. As you walk through the corridors, you will no doubt be able to envision the tenents of the past going at their work.
Its amazing how wonderfully the management has turned the commercial building to a great living area.
