Loft 214
Not being one who loves to wash dishes, I often leave mine sitting by the sink and only doing the washing when eithe the pile gets too unsightly or when I simply run out of plates.
Often opting to do my dishes twice weekly, I took to opportunity on this early Sunday morning of about 1:30am to do the weekly washing just as I had been done with super.
Placing the plates into e dishwasher, I thought to myself that I might just add a "little" wash detergent into the allocated slots- Din't really wanna spend money buying specially packaged Dish-washer soaps that would cost me about 50cents a wash. While I had often did a hot wash without any washing detergent, my oven roasted chicken caused e plate to be exceptionally oily and so the expirement with wash detergent which I already had.
Leaving the machine on its own-it usually takes about 60-90 mins for a full cycle- I turned around less than 15 mins later and OO! Rushed over and did a manual forced shut-down on the machine
Long story short, I pretty much spent over an hour trying to tidy the mess. And the below picture you see, mind you, had been about 50% cleaned up before the idea struck me that I should get it photographed. And in the end, the entire mishp filled up 4-5 buckets of foam and water.
I have quite completely cleared the dish washer of most of the foam but there certainly is some remaining. And I am just so afraid to start the cycle running again, but I guess I just have to sooner or later. YikesSeesh. Don't Laugh !
Given that the plates are half-washed and that I must continue doing so... I'd tell you what happens on the second wash... once I muster enough courage to turn the stupid machine on again... ...
PostScript: I had to spend another 30 minutes, force shutting the dishwasher over 12 times so that it would drain water -and after each draining, I would add water from the sink just so that I could force drain the machine again- and hopefully, whatever bubbles that had been produced. ...
PostScript of PostScript: Eevn getting water from the sink and force-flushing didnt effectively deal with the bubbles! The freaking bubbles. Had to turn on the dishwasher three times, drained it three times... before I'm able to go sleep with peace of mind.
I am pleased to affirmatively state that it took me 4 full hours to get the dishes done.
